Johann zarco

Very fast in testing, perfect at the start: but when it comes to fruition, Johann Zarco falls. The first victory in MotoGP always gets out of hand.

About Diane Tamantini de Motoracing

The great defeat of Silverstone was undoubtedly that of Johann zarco. The Pramac driver Ducati had a golden opportunity to finally take that first MotoGP victory… But it seems to have almost become a curse. In a few laps, the double Moto2 World Champion, in the lead from the start, slid towards the gravel trap, thus undoing all the hard work of the weekend. The record of podiums and pole positions without victory in the premier category which he holds has, however, been improved. His term was postponed again, and that didn't do him any good even at the time.

A super lap in qualifying, shattering the absolute record at Silverstone. An excellent start, certainly the best of his MotoGP season where the start of the race was his big flaw. The race lead was firmly held, with his compatriot Quarterly who struggled to follow. Later behind him, Miller, Kidneys et bagnaia came, but he was always in control of the race. He was also the best pilot Ducati, once again reflecting his position in the world championship standings at the end of the first part of the championship. Johann Zarco: “ I hope to be even more competitive at the next Grand Prix«

Of the 56 podiums achieved by Johann zarco in the World Championship, 15 arrived in MotoGP. He is the best of all time, but he has yet to achieve a single victory in the category. He has left Colin Edwards behind him are 12 podiums without materializing, a decidedly unenviable record. The Frenchman from Pramac Ducati cannot achieve this little extra in the race, Silverstone was a great opportunity to stop the streak…

And it wasn't even a tire problem, since he had the same tires as the winner Pecco Bagnaia. But zarco wants to see the glass half full: “ I had a good pace, leading the race was good » he declared later, emphasizing the step forward on the Ducati. “ I learned something. I don't have to think about it too much, I hope to be even more competitive during the next GP. » The hunt for triumph in MotoGP will resume at Spielberg, now a personal matter for the French rider.
