As he told us (see here), Johann Zarco has disappeared from the radar screens since his last appearance at the Superprestigio in Barcelona.
A media break that is certainly welcome for the French driver who is keen to return to Sepang in the best possible physical… and mental shape.
However, he nevertheless gave an interview to the site speedweek
in which he analyzes his spectacular performances during the last Grands Prix of the 2017 season. A work track which opens up a new margin for progression by combining physical, mental, energy and timing as best as possible…
So much the better!
Johann zarco : “Until the Pacific tour, I could ride the bike at the limit, but only for 10 to 15 minutes. I have to do it for 40 minutes. I think it's more about concentration than just fitness. It's about self-confidence. If you ride the bike fast, you need to be physically strong, but the goal is to be fast without having to force it. It depends on the mental side. I want to ride a motorcycle intensely, but not just to cover as many miles as possible. The driving quality must be good. In this area, my trainer (Laurent Fellon) can have very good judgment. Physically, I feel good. If I have problems, it comes because I don't feel comfortable. Many factors interact with each other. The thing I can improve the most is doing the right thing at the right time. And do it well. More energy at the right time.”
