It's a statistic that's often eagerly awaited: every year-end, the total number of crashes for each MotoGP rider is revealed. This year, Johann Zarco succeeds Pedro Acosta, who led this category last year. This ranking contains a few surprises, which are always interesting to analyze. So, which riders have worn out the most leathers this season? Which riders have given their mechanics the least work? Let's take a look.
As stated in the title, the pilot who has crashed the most is none other than Our Frenchman Johann Zarco, with 28 crashesIt is true that a little after the first third of the season, the LCR Honda rider experienced difficulties with his machine; he lost sensations that he never really recovered, even towards the end. In second place is Jack Miller, with 25 achievements, followed by Alex Marquez, with 23It's surprising, because, during the race, Marc's little brother was rather well-behaved.

Franco Morbidelli (23) equals Alex, and Joan mir (22) follows. This rider has retired most often in 2025: 13 retirements in 22 races. At the other end of the rankings, we find Luca Marini as the best performer: only three crashes for the Italian, two of which involved competitors. Another surprising fact: Pecco Bagnaia only crashed 11 times despite his five consecutive retirements at the end of the season.Marc Marquez, who was often ranked highly in this list due to his style, recorded 14 victories throughout the year. It's worth noting that he only crashed three times on Sundays (United States, Spain, and Indonesia).
Fabio Di Giannantonio, with only five incidents, has crashed the fewest times relative to his track time – whereas Marini missed three races. As for the races themselves, the one that attracted the most competitors was none other than the French Grand Prix and its difficult conditions (70 across all three categories), while the Qatar Grand Prix was the safest for everyone (27 (across all three categories).
