Johann Zarco has made no secret of dreaming of more victories this season, just days before getting back on his Honda for the Sepang test.

The LCR team has made its official presentation this Sunday in the presence of Johann zarco et Diogo MoreiraA duo combining experience and youth that could prove formidable. For his part, the Frenchman is indeed preparing to begin his 18th year in the World Championship, and has proven throughout his career his ability to question himself in order to constantly improve, even at 35 years old.

Although he knows how to be clear-headed about his goals, he still has dreams, which he hopes to continue to realize after his unforgettable victory at the French Grand Prix last year.

"This is my 18th year, I'm very proud of this number and more motivated than ever to surpass myself."he said during the presentation. "I think the biggest lesson I've learned from my two years at LCR and now, at the start of my third year, is: always stay calm, because the season is long and staying calm allows for better control."

“The goal is to keep dreaming of victories. I had a magical win last year, whereas with the Honda project, I didn't really expect to win even a single race. With all these years of experience, I know the dream is to fight for a world title, but I don't know if that's still achievable, so I'm aiming for at least podium opportunities.”

zarco will now travel to Malaysia to take part in the first official test of this 2026 season, but he can already get an idea of what awaits him thanks to the performances of Honda test rider Aleix Espargaró and his teammate Diogo Moreira, who both rode in the Shakedown this week.

“I’m very satisfied with the performance of the new Honda. The feedback from the riders is excellent. Aleix was very fast, Diogo is adapting very well and his lap times are fast. The bike is performing well, the lap times are good, which is very encouraging for the 2026 season.”, he confided.

“We obviously have a testing program and the team is still working on it to fine-tune a few details. After the winter break, it’s always a pleasure to be back in Malaysia and back on the bike. We know it’s going to be very hot, but we have some time to get back into the rhythm and try to rediscover those good feelings to get the season off to a good start.”
