MotoGP: Johann Zarco wants to stay with Ducati to be World Champion

Things are moving at Ducati and it is a safe bet that the manufacturer will complete its files for the next season in the weeks to come. The signal came from Jack Miller whose contract will be renewed before Italian Grand Prix from the end of the month. It is therefore a question of holding the ground for those whose fate has not yet been sealed. And this is the case of John Zarco.

Given his last performance at Le Mans, the Frenchman should not be plagued by existential anxiety. But the world of MotoGP is sometimes surprising, for better and for worse. So, you have to be clear about your intentions. On his discussions with Ducati, the now third of the championnat 12 points behind leader Quartararo after a solid second place in Grand Prix of France said : " we should talk about it soon but we haven't mentioned it yet. That being said, my goal is to stay with them, because for my quest for the title, I will waste too much time if I change motorcycles, and I don't have time to waste time anymore ».

The supreme ambition is thus assumed. He pursues : " so the objective is to stay with Ducati, and even with Pramac, since we are well together with the team and that it can play for the title. I hope to go in that direction, and that's why I try to do the job as best I can so that it's reciprocal, that I want to stay, and that they want to keep me »

John Zarco: “I have a good chance for the title”

I think that at Pramac, they are well integrated too, and if it happens like that, it will not happen immediately. So that leaves me at least two or three years to play up front, and then we'll see. Johann zarco, on the finish line at Le Mans, also hit the nail on the head: “ when you lead the championship after the first two races in Qatar, you believe in your chances of fighting for the title. I think I have enough experience. I can have even more experience on the Ducati because there are perhaps a few little things missing to be really comfortable on the Ducati, but the bike is ready, the team is ready, and I would say that I can be ready. You just have to control the Ducati more and more. So if it happens quickly enough during the season, I have a good chance for the title, and so to score 20 points today is really good ".
