Jorge Lorenzo challenged himself again at Honda after taking on the difficult challenge of Ducati during the last two seasons. But in a MotoGP category whose level has increased, wouldn't this kind of challenge have entered the register of the impossible? The pressure is such today that only results count and they must arrive quickly. A new generation is asserting itself which does not leave indifferent the official teams who could become less careful about the track record of a 32-year-old driver, no matter how good he is. Por Fuera is currently experiencing this situation and he has opened up about it to better tell us what he thinks about it…

Jorge Lorenzo did not start his adventure with Honda as hoped. He cannot adapt to a Honda which ultimately turns out to be more versatile than a Ducati. Since the start of this season, he has not yet entered the top 10 at the end of a Grand Prix. The crisis is such that we arranged a meeting with the RC213V engineers in Japan to talk with them and find new technical solutions.

As reported by “ Tuttosport", Jorge Lorenzo said : " I never considered myself a god. Let's say instead that I play a popular sport in which I have done my job very well. I wasn't a god before and I'm not now, I'm still the same, it's the results that change ».

The Spaniard then continued: “ It's not easy, but I haven't spoken to a psychologist. I try to help my brain with my experience. It's a job that requires a lot of discipline and after 17 years, it's not easy to find motivation without results, it's the results that give you a smile and the desire to continue working. The fact that I experienced this moment makes me positive. With Ducati I suffered a lot, but I managed to win. I showed I could do it, so I didn't see why I couldn't do it again. Sport is full of people who seemed to be finished, before being reborn, shutting the flap to criticism ».

Jorge Lorenzo then spoke about the decision to leave Team Iwata: “ leaving Yamaha was my choice, I wanted the Ducati. The transition to Honda was dictated by a series of conditions. Adapting to a new bike is complicated, the Yamaha is easier to ride, but I'm in good company, Zarco has problems with KTM ».

Finally, the Majorcan concluded: “ I think the perfect example that inspires me is Rocky. If you slack off because of the successes achieved, it ends badly, you always have to fight, suffer and sweat. Of course there is no Adriana, but I have friends and my coach, I don't need a girl right now ».
