Jorge Lorenzo in Italy experienced his worst qualifying session with Honda this season. Then race, he dispatched current affairs to take the points for thirteenth place. After leaving his RC213V, Lorenzo told DAZN microphones: “ the sensations are not good in general, I didn't really feel comfortable, but especially here. Apart from Marc Márquez, it is at Mugello that the Honda drivers suffer the most ».

The 32-year-old pilot recalls that he continues to suffer from physical injuries that he has been carrying for months: “ it's a bit more of a physical problem, and the physical problems I face on all circuits increase at Mugello. I don't feel comfortable, we are trying to have a plan for the future, trying to make the bike easier and more comfortable for me, but also easier in general for the rest of the Honda riders. Jorge Lorenzo is therefore like a test pilot at HRC… Despite the lack of progress in his adaptation to the Honda RC213V, the Mallorcan does not give up: “ we have two solutions: throw in the towel or continue to live a better tomorrow, and above all to prepare for the future ».

In this sense, Lorenzo is looking forward to the arrival of the new fairing that HRC has specially developed for him in Japan. This new element will be tested on June 17 during post-race testing in Barcelona. Will the story experienced at Ducati repeat itself? Starting this week, Por Fuera will be in Japan, at Honda headquarters, to work directly on the ergonomics and aerodynamics of the bike in the wind tunnel.
