Jorge Lorenzo notes like everyone else that nothing is easy at the moment for Marc Marquez. When the Mallorcan was active, the Cervera phenomenon seemed impregnable. Now diminished, he is in the fray. A situation that worries a lot, because what he is suffering from and what he must recover from is not trivial. However, Jorge Lorenzo does not doubt his ability to overcome this stage which is the most difficult of his career.

The former Yamaha, Ducati and then Honda driver says: “ I think Marc Marquez is the best driver on the grid, he's a wild beast in many ways ". At this point, he cites another driver, who currently leads the championship… “ Fabio Quartararo is now a badass, but when he recovers from his injury, he will definitely show what he is capable of ».

Lorenzo finished : " the difference between Marc and the other drivers is that Marc never gives up, whatever the circumstances. He did everything differently and that's why he was probably the most difficult of all opponents ».

The factory driver Repsol Honda and 82-time Grand Prix winner fell behind Aleix Espargaró in the battle for seventh place at the last meeting in Catalonia. Nothing to brag about a priori, but Marc Marquez don't assess the situation that way. And in this sense, it confirms the feeling of Jorge Lorenzo respect : " of course I'm not happy with the result of the race', assured the eight-time world champion. “ On the other hand I would rather fall after a good performance than finish the race trying to stay seated on the bike. So I'm happy to have at least given a good performance ».

He adds : " This is my strategy, I risk a lot in the race. I have to admit that this strategy is not working at the moment. But we will try to change that in the future ". He finished on his 87 laps completed during the post-Grand Prix test in Montmelo: “ Monday was more important than Sunday for our future. I knew we wouldn't find half a second. It was important that we better understand what we need for the future. And we succeeded ". Marc Marquez is also a “ badass on MotoGP.
