Jorge Lorenzo underwent surgery in Barcelona for a wrist ligament injury. The return to Sepang is not excluded.
Lorenzo is definitely having the worst moment of the 2018 season, the last to ride the Desmosedici before joining the Repsol Honda team. It all started in Aragón, after a spectacular highside at the first corner of the race, which left him injuring two toes on his right foot. Back in Thailand, he crashed again during free practice due to a technical problem with his Ducati, and fractured his left wrist. Lorenzo tried to run in Motegi, but the pain was too much and he returned to Spain for surgery before continuing his recovery at home.
