Jorge Lorenzo follows social networks closely and is also close to his fans through this. A closeness such that he is not insensitive when one of them experiences the most absolute misfortune. The Majorcan thus learned of the death of Akiko, a Japanese woman who never missed an opportunity to show her support. A special bond was created between her and her driver, materialized by duo photos on the circuits of the world. Por Fuera will not forget it…

This is sad news for Jorge Lorenzo, who learned of the disappearance of one of his most loyal supporters, who followed him on all circuits throughout his career. Her name was Akiko, she loved to travel and follow her idol on every trail, often managing to take photos with him, which Lorenzo shared.

An illness took her away, and the Majorcan paid her this touching tribute: “ I am very sad. Sadly, I found out that Akiko, one of my biggest fans, had left us. These photos demonstrate her constant joy, positivity and loyalty to me that she always showed me and that I will never forget. A big hug from me and the fan club to your family and friends. Rest in peace. »

Akiko traveled from Japan to faraway countries like Spain or the United Kingdom to proudly fly the #99 flag, and she was often greeted by Por Fuera in the paddock. The last photo together dates back to Motegi 2019, in Repsol Honda colors.

Not only was she a fan of MotoGP, but she also participated in other events such as the Suzuka 8 Hours and she never missed the Tokyo Motor Show.
