Obviously unhappy with having crashed at the first corner on the first lap of the Aragon Grand Prix, Jorge Lorenzo attributed the responsibility for this incident to the attack which he considered outrageous by Marc Márquez.

In the media, the Mallorcan driver wanted to point out that as a result, an apology would be all the more welcome as the Honda driver had not come to check on him despite his broken toe highlighted by a voluminous plaster.

This morning, the man we still nickname Por Fuera went to Barcelona for a medical check-up during which he was exchanged his cast for an orthopedic shoe. Another check will take place on Thursday to take stock of his participation in the Thai Grand Prix.

In the meantime, the Ducati rider insisted this evening on justifying himself at length on the rsocial networks, but also to point out that Marc Márquez had (finally) heard from him, which naturally satisfies his self-esteem.

Jorge Lorenzo : “If you look through my past statements, you will find a lot of news where I admit my own mistakes... just as you will be able to verify that I am not tongue-tied when I think that the fault lies with another pilot or a person…
Marc braked 20 meters later than the others and that's why he came out on the green. When I decide to enter the curve, I don't expect to find him there, and with his bike there, I can do nothing other than widen on the dirty area with him...
If you watch the dash cam video, you'll see how quickly he leaves others behind as he dives inside. Uncontrolled braking where it was impossible to stop the bike without leaving the track (as happened).
I am aware that from the outside it looks like a mistake on my part, because we do not touch each other and I also go outside. But I widen because of its unexpected braking at the limit for me. If I hadn't done it, I would have come out of the curve like in the 8 previous editions of the GP.
So my conclusion is that I would not have crashed without Marc's "limit" braking, nor if I had I had opened the throttle less wide or decided to pick up the bike and go straight.
To complete my version, I would like to inform you that, this afternoon, I received a call from Márquez to inquire about my condition, something that honors him.”
