The MotoGP field already has its head turned towards Le Mans and its French Grand Prix, but, at Ducati, minds are still to Jerez. A track generally unfavorable to the Desmosedici which, this time, showed good dispositions since two of them, official, were promised for the podium. But none saw the finish following a race largely prepared by a fratricidal, not to say suicidal, struggle. Between the two teammates, who are still negotiating their future, nothing is going well.

Public chat Motorsport, Andrea Dovizioso, who lost big in Spain, returned to the incident which left him on the floor while making him lose crucial points in a championship he was leading at the time. For the Italian, the sister machine marked with the 99 was only driven for one objective: to prevent him from passing, at all costs.

And what does the Majorcan think? His version is different, centered on himself and filled with self-satisfaction: “ I am very happy with this race in Spain. I was really motivated and very determined from the start. I actually overtook three drivers from the start while braking. I could brake really hard. And I probably braked even harder than with the Yamaha ».

« From this point of view, I am very satisfied with my race. I didn't have the pace to ride in front, and yet I stayed in the lead for eight laps while driving fast. Throughout the weekend I didn't have the right level, but despite that, I was able to do things that no other driver is capable of doing in these conditions. It's all my merit. Without the right pace, I led the race. No pilot can do that ».

He ends modestly: “ It's my luck, it's my talent, the one you've seen over the years. But I need a little more margin. If I could have shot 38.8 or 38.9 instead of 39.2 or 39.3, no one would have been able to catch me ". In the meantime, one escaped: Marc Márquez.
