Toprak Razgatlioglu

In the world of motorcycling, the name Toprak Razgatlioglu resonates like a clap of thunder, promising a meteoric rise to MotoGP. However, it is not for tomorrow that this Turkish firework will light up the premier class. But beware, even the brightest stars do not stay hidden for long.

In a podcast that shook the airwaves, George Martin, the recent world champion MotoGP, dropped a bombshell about the most impressive talents on the circuit. On the one hand, he saluted Marc Marquez with almost religious deference: " Marc Marquez, for me, on a sporting level, was the best of history, but I haven't raced against him in that long and maybe i didn't see him at his best"

But it was in the second salvo that Razgatlioglu has been propelled to the rank of phenomenon. Martin, amazed, said: “ I'm going to tell you about the one who was the Superbike world champion, a Turk, Toprak Razgatlioglu."

Jorge Martin: “ during some pre-season tests in the 'Rookies Cup', Toprak Razgatlioglu passed us in the water outside as if it was dry »

He described the Turkish driver's talent with words that shine with boundless admiration: " This guy, during some pre-season testing in the 'Rookies Cup', passed us in the water outside like it was dry. And that's something that has always impressed me, it's incredible., maybe not many people know him, but he is a two-time World Superbike Champion. Plus, he does crazy stoppies and I think he is a pure talent."

Razgatlioglu is not one to keep his dreams under wraps. He knows that 2026 could be his last ticket to MotoGP, but handlebars are as rare as pearls in an oyster. Honda could be its salvation, but the RC213V has not been a successful machine lately. It will also be necessary to monitor opportunities at LCR Honda, Pertamina Enduro VR46 et Prima Pramac Yamaha, where contracts could be unwound.

At the FIM Awards in Palma de Mallorca, Razgatlioglu et Martin, already podium mates at the Red Bull Rookies Cup, have met again. The Turk reaffirmed his desire to transform this friendly rivalry into an epic battle on the MotoGP tracks. A challenge worthy of his immense talent, a dream that is just waiting to become reality.
