Jorge Martin has arrived where Grand Prix riders want to be: in MotoGP. In 2021, he will do his first season there and what's more, in good conditions since he is a member of the Ducati Pramac satellite team. With Johann Zarco as his teammate, he will have a state-of-the-art GP21, which, on paper, is still better than the GP19 which will be the mount of two of his direct competitors, because also a rookie: Enea Bastianini, Moto2 World Champion , and Luca Marini. « In previous tests, I made solid progress, always understanding the improvements I made. The Ducati is a good bike, it does everything I need it to do. I have to work on my style, I'm very excited for the future. I need to understand the front tire better, it takes time. There is a big difference with Moto2, especially in terms of braking and acceleration. During the last tests we did not make any changes ».
He finishes : " I have to change my driving style a little, faire plus de tours consécutifs, essayer de faire une “attaque du chrono”, mais je suis satisfait de mon rythme ». George Martin a fini quatorzième au classement combiné des tests à Losail. Soit premier des débutants, mais tout de même d’un rien face à la GP19 de bastianini.
