Jorge Martin no longer has much to hope for from his Moto2 season which will therefore be his last. In 2021, in fact, he will join MotoGP with the status of hope of the Ducati factory which has chosen to bet on young people. He will thus evolve in the Pramac satellite team, always perfectly equipped technically, and he will team up with a certain Johann Zarco who will become the eldest of the Borgo Panigale clan. How does the Moto3 World Champion envisage this coexistence with the double Moto2 champion? He lifts the veil...

George Martin will compete in his rookie season in MotoGP alongside Johann zarco for Team Pramac Ducati in 2021. He doesn't yet know the 30-year-old Frenchman, but he already thinks a lot about him... Since ducati decided to bet on Jack Miller et Pecco Bagnaia in his official team, the satellite team Pramac, where the duo comes from, is forced to start from scratch. It will be with Johann zarco, promoted from the Avintia team and George Martin who will be one of two beginners, for the moment in the category in 2021.

The Spaniard is starting to consider the deadline and, already, he says he wants to learn as much as possible from his teammate and the factory drivers. George Martin, currently in Moto2 on a Kalex for the Red Bull KTM Ajo Team, says about his French teammate: “ I don't know him yet, although he is definitely a great pilot. He won two world championships with my current team. They know him very well and I know he's a really strong driver ».

« I think in my first year I just have to try to have fun driving and learn as much as possible from my teammate and the factory team drivers », Adds the 22-year-old from Madrid. “ It is very important to help each other with data, and the more drivers we have, the more information there is ».

Miller and Bagnaia, on the other hand, are old acquaintances

Martin is convinced of the good equipment he will have at his disposal: “ all Ducati riders are very competitive and have shown that they can get on the podium in every race, so I will try to learn from them quickly ».

Unlike zarco, the other two factory drivers are no strangers to him. “ I ran with Pecco in 2015 and 2016, and we slept in the same room for two years. We've certainly changed a bit in the four years since, but ultimately we still know each other so well and we can hope to keep that relationship going. », explains the current fifth in the Moto2 World Championship.

« I also know Jack because I train with him when he rides the superbike and I'm on my R6 or when we ride minibikes He continues. " At the end of the day, we're all young and we just want to win, and we can all work together to get to the top ", ended George Martin.
