The reigning MotoGP champion, Marc Márquez, celebrates its 26th birthday today, February 17. The Spaniard has won seven titles since entering the grand prix in 2008 and has suffered just one championship defeat since his debut in the premier class in 2013.

Already winner of 70 Grands Prix, including 44 with Repsol Honda in MotoGP, Maquez is currently battling to regain full fitness for the start of the season, after undergoing delicate shoulder surgery in December.

The Spaniard will also have a new teammate for 2019 in the person of Jorge Lorenzo, the only other pilot than Márquez to have won a MotoGP title in the last six years.

Marquez has signed to stay with Repsol Honda for the next two seasons, during which he could match Honda's tally of nine world titles Valentino Rossi, including seven in the premier category…
