At 33, Dani Pedrosa retired as a regular MotoGP rider at Honda to give in to the sirens of becoming a test rider at KTM.
11th in the world championship after a year without the slightest podium (2018 best results: 5th in Barcelona, Aragon, Sepang and Valencia), the little Spaniard nevertheless shone during the Honda Thanks Day which took place at the beginning of December on the Motegi circuit.
There, starting from last position on the handlebars of a legendary Honda Super Cub, the native of Sabadell quickly overtook all his competitors, some of whom were named Takaaki Nakagami et Freddy Foray.
The one nicknamed Little Samurai even allowed himself to let a few opponents pass to overtake them again, all in a more than good-natured atmosphere, as we can see in the following video from 2h39m30s.
