The FIM Court of Appeal has therefore delivered its verdict: not only is Andrea Dovizioso's victory in Qatar confirmed, as well as the points scored by Danilo Petrucci, but the aerodynamic appendage fixed under the swingarm of the Ducati GP19 is declared legal and authorized for the upcoming races. In all likelihood, it therefore does not generate aerodynamic downforce.

It's a bit surprising but let's bet that the FIM did not oppose Aprilia, Honda, Suzuki and KTM together without having serious technical arguments...

The aforementioned brands now have 5 days to appeal this decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport based in Lausanne, but we can assume that they will not do so, for at least 2 reasons.

The first is in the previous sentence (the technical arguments of the FIM), the second in the fact that this would lead to a procedure on the green carpet (we remember the Márquez/Rossi case judged at CAS after in 2015) which would then spread a nauseating odor over the championship.

Moreover, Claudio Domenicali, the boss of Ducati, obviously happy, just as he should be Gigi Dall'Igna, prefers to prevent and highlight the ingenuity of the Borgo Panigale firm: “Ducati prides itself on its ingenuity Italian in engineering and its ability to innovate. A lot of people have said over the last few weeks that we are cheating... Now let's hope they will be quiet and try to beat us on the track. However, it is a shame that to achieve this result we had to spend our time and money with lawyers, and reveal to competitors our understanding of the cooling ofs tires”.

A word to you ...
