For the Malaysian team that fields Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Quartararo in MotoGP, managing the logistics and transport operations of three world championship teams is no easy task, as the following figures show.

Participating in the three categories of the MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships is a sporting and logistical challenge for the PETRONAS Sepang Racing team. The start of the official calendar is one of the most demanding times of the year, with trips to Qatar, Argentina and the United States all in the space of just 40 days.

A lot of work is being done to ensure that Franco Morbidelli, Fabio Quartararo, Khairul Idham Pawi, John McPhee and Ayumu Sasaki can participate in each round. A total of 37 people from eleven different nationalities, including Malaysians, British, Italians and Spaniards, are brought together to contribute to the success of the sporting results.

At the end of January, all the necessary equipment to start the season arrived at the Sepang international circuit, from Lommel (Belgium) where the European base is located, which hosted the first 2019 pre-season tests. Qatar, Argentina and the United States was the opening rounds of a Championship that now travels to Europe to start a series of 11 Grands Prix. So far, transportation from Lommel to Jerez (Spain) has required more than 45 kilometers by plane.

PETRONAS SRT transported a total of 38 flight cases, including seven for the four Yamaha YZR-M1s, the Kalex Moto2 and the two Honda NSF250RWs, with a total weight of 12,4 tonnes. A total of 27 aviation bodies belong to PETRONAS Yamaha SRT, while the PETRONAS Sprinta Racing teams own 11 more. Inside these boxes are the panels to assemble the 3 boxes, the spare parts and all the tools and products necessary for the mechanics to work in the best conditions.

Added to this are two containers which are transported by boat, with everything corresponding to the reception area for the kitchen and furniture.

Many kilometers were covered and kilos of equipment were moved to enable the Malaysian team to participate in the three World Championship events.
