MotoGP has never been so unstable in terms of alliances, and the TrackHouse team could be the next collateral victim. The American outfit, which arrived in 2024 with high ambitions—and a very strong Stars and Stripes identity—is now at the heart of strategic discussions that could see it leave Aprilia as early as 2027.
That would be an unexpected reversal: TrackHouse is currently the sole satellite team of the Noale-based manufacturer, a role it will retain until the end of its contract in 2026. And yet…
The RS-GP has made significant progress, and TrackHouse finally reaped the rewards of its work in 2025. First MotoGP victory with Raul fernandez at Phillip Island. 7th place in the championship, and solid performances as well for Ai Ogura.
An upward trajectory, enough to imagine a bright future with Aprilia… before another paddock figure disrupts the game.
According to the Italian press, VR46 would already be working on a transfer of Ducati toward Aprilia as early as 2027. Problem: Aprilia doesn't have the budget for two satellite teams, and the Italian team will obviously prioritize the home team Rossi. Result: TrackHouse looking for a way out before ending up without equipment.

Honda lying in wait: "Dnightto nnegotiations"in progress with TrackHouse"
According to Moto sprint, discussions with Honda have already begun. If they succeed, TrackHouse would become the second satellite team Honda to utilize the 2027 version of the RC213V, designed for the new MotoGP regulations. A strategic move for both Honda and TrackHouse.
That being said, why would Honda absolutely want another satellite team? The answer is to accelerate the development of its bike, which has become competitive again, to increase technical feedback (Ducati's advantage), and to secure a solid commitment in the 850cc era.
After his victory with zarco and the podium of Mir in 2025, Honda is clearly rebuilding. The brand has already regained its C ranking in the concessions system for 2026: a sign that the worst is behind it.
If confirmed, this outcome would reshuffle everything. If TrackHouse evolves with Honda in 2027, if VR46 joined Aprilia and if Ducati If a major satellite sponsor loses, the MotoGP grid would be completely reshaped. A booming market for riders, engineers… and sponsors.
TrackHouse didn't necessarily choose to leave. But in MotoGP, it's better to anticipate than to react. With VR46 ready to take his place in the clan ApriliaThe Americans could well become the armed wing of Honda in its climb back to the top. And that, at Liberty Medium… we would love it.
