Francis Bagnaia enters Le Mans for the French MotoGP Grand Prix as favorite, after raising the bar at Jerez. He is now 22 points ahead of Marco Bezzecchi and 25 on Brad Binder.

However, this does not prevent the Ducati rider from remaining cautious, whether in relation to the competition or the weather at Le Mans which nevertheless seems to be improving.

Do you see this as a big opportunity to take control of the championship?
« We have to wait and see the conditions as it looks like they won't be consistent and it will rain, but also today the forecast was for rain but it was dry all day. It is always difficult to understand quickly, so we have to wait and wait to understand everything. The potential of our bike is huge, it is high, and we can fight for the first places, but we have to be careful and calm to understand everything because it is quite easy to make mistakes like I did l 'last year. We will see. »
What about KTM?
« Honestly, I saw them in Portimão with Jack who finished well, he was ahead in the Sprint race. Then in Argentina, Brad won the Sprint race. So I was prepared to see them at the front in the Sprint race because they were both starting from the first two rows. So I was well prepared, but I wasn't for the long race, because they did, I think, an incredible job and Dani helped them improve their situation, but Brad and Jack did a job amazing, so I think we can expect to see them in the lead here too. »

On Valentino Rossi's joke in Jerez that a bad start on Friday led to a good result in Jerez:
« Honestly, I would prefer to go like I did in Austin, but I don't think I was distracted during the race. But either way, we always joke with Vale and at home we talked and I don't think it's, like I said, a distraction or anything, but it's is just what happened. Either way, we can learn from our mistakes and we can understand that we can learn, so maybe I can improve from this situation. I was happy to see Vale back in the Ducati box, so that was good! »
