At Repsol Honda, we are not unhappy to begin in earnest the second part of a season that we would like to conclude as quickly as possible. The results do not come and the absence of leader Marc Marquez is more than cruelly felt. A year ago, at Le Mans, during the French Grand Prix, the latter brought the 300th victory in the “premier category” to the Tokyo brand. The ambitions, for this year, will be much lower on the same Bugatti route. To get by, pilots even rely on the elements...

Stefan bradl will replace again Marc Marquez this weekend for the Grand Prix of France which will mark the ninth meeting of the season. Alex Marquez, for his part, will be present and will be keen to make us forget a last anonymous performance on a route of Barcelona which was nevertheless familiar to him. But before joining Sarthe, the two men will make a detour through Portimao for a discovery tour of the route which will host this season's finale on November 22.

« We are starting an intensive phase again with three consecutive races and a test » begins the German. “ As always, we approach the race with the aim of helping HRC in the best possible way and at the same time working towards the best possible result ", said Stefan bradl.

“Le Mans could become very interesting with the weather”

« Le Mans could become very interesting with the weather. We'll have to wait and see what the rain does and what the track temperature is like before we can make a plan for the weekend. I hope we can take another step forward ».

Alex Marquez, who triumphed in the Moto2 category at the 4,185km Bugatti Circuit last year, is confident about the upcoming “treble” of his first MotoGP season: “ last year the bike did well at Le Mans and also in Aragon, so I'm looking forward to riding there ».

But ahead of the French Grand Prix, the 24-year-old Spaniard also said: “ you have to watch the weather forecast, because at the moment it doesn't look so good. It's quite cold and wet, but that could still change. Whatever the conditions, I am very motivated for the second half of the season to show the potential we had before the Barcelona race. I trained hard this week and I'm determined to improve ».
