The French Grand Prix begins with stage local Fabio Quartararo in the spotlight. And for good reason, the latter is now leading the MotoGP championship with 108 points. This is the lowest score for a championship leader after the first eight races of a season in the major category since the current classification was introduced in 1993…

fabio quartararo a 72 points ahead of Johann zarco located in 15th place: this is the closest top 15 after eight races of the season in the premier category since the introduction of the current rating system in 1993. The same became the first driver Yamaha of an independent team to win more than twice in a single season in the discipline since Gary McCoy in the 500cc class, who did it three times in 2000.

With fabio quartararo (Spain, Andalusia and Catalonia), Miguel Oliveira (Styria) and Franco Morbidelli (San Marino), this is the first time that there have been five (or more) victories for independent team riders in a single MotoGP season since 2004, when there were seven victories.

Furthermore, in this French Grand Prix at Le Mans, Maverick Vinales is expected to make his 100th start in the premier class. To avoid spoiling anything about this event, here is the program for a Friday which begins the hostilities!
