The Motorland Aragon circuit has decided to name turn 10 after Marc Márquez. The ceremony will take place on September 20.

Turn 10 of the Aragon circuit will take the name of “Marc Márquez”. Motorland has decided to pay this tribute to the six-time world champion, four times winner on the Alcaniz track, as much for his sporting exploits as for the links that unite him to the track. The ceremony will take place on the occasion of the next Aragon Grand Prix which will be held from September 21 to 23. It will be held on September 20 and will be accessible to all fans who purchased their ticket on July 10.

The Aragonese circuit has decided to dedicate one of the most spectacular tracks to the Repsol Honda champion “thus recognizing the early and extraordinary merits of a career which still has many pages to write” can we read in the official press release. “On numerous occasions, Marc Márquez has expressed his attachment to Motorland, citing it as one of his favorite circuits in the World Championship. He is the rider to have been on the podium most often during the Aragon Grand Prix, winning four times (3 in MotoGP, 1 in Moto2). He has also taken pole position 6 times (4 of them in MotoGP). Márquez, at 25, is a reference in world motorcycling. His sympathy and charisma, added to his early sporting success, made him become, despite his young age, one of the Spaniards' favorite drivers of all time. His name is already written at the top of the MotoGP rankings: titles, victories, podiums, poles, fast laps…”

This is the first circuit to dedicate a turn to Cabroncito, which has always spoken with affection of this World Cup route in previous years: “I feel very comfortable here, it’s one of the circuits I like the most in the Championship. » The route is one of his favorites, especially “the first and last sectors which are quite technical. You have to work hard on the settings of the bike to have a good rhythm in the turns. » In addition, the Aragon GP is one of the events where the most Marquez fans participate. The choice of turn 10 is not insignificant, since during last year's press conference, one of his fans asked him to which turn he would like to dedicate his name. Marc then chose, without hesitation, turn 10, a left turn which highlights his driving style and which requires you to attack hard. A one hundred percent Márquez turn!
