MotoGP is well on its way to regretting one less Grand Prix this year than Moto2 and Moto3. These two categories are in fact already in Qatar in battle order to warm up the Losail track and thus launch their season this weekend. For them, the coronavirus problem will be addressed later. The categories Moto2 et Moto3 will open the season this weekend at Qatar, during the Grand Prix of the same name which will take place from March 6 to 8 on the Losail circuit. A deadline that the team Asparagus impatiently awaits since its pilots Aron Canet in Moto2 and Albert Arenas in Moto3 both placed in the top 10 in their respective categories during the pre-season tests which ended last Sunday.

Dorna, the FIM and the IRTA have only announced the cancellation of the MotoGP category due to travel restrictions imposed by Qatar due to the coronavirus. But the organization maintains the Moto2 and Moto3 category events in its program. The teams in these disciplines, including the Aspar Team, were already at the Qatar since last week, working on the final pre-season test.

The Aspar Team supports the decisions made by the World Championship organization to ensure the safety of participants, team personnel and all those participating in the competition.
