Lorenzo Fellon, former Moto3 competitor in the world championship, is embarking on a new adventure in Moto2 JuniorGP. After being left behind at the end of last season, replaced by Riccardo Rossi in the CIP team for 2024, the young French driver born in 2004 boldly bounces back. This year, he is making the big jump to the Moto2 European Championship with SF Racing, as evidenced by the recent publication of the JuniorGP entry list.
This transition to Moto2 had already been mentioned since December by paddock observers, and now here is the name of Lorenzo Fellon registered on the Moto2 European Championship list. He thus joins other drivers excluded from the category Moto3 who are looking to relaunch in other championships, such as David Salvador, which makes the jump to the Supersport 300 World Championship, or even to FIM JuniorGP.

Lorenzo Fellon must revive his career
The course of Lorenzo Fellon so far has not been without difficulties. His debut in 2021 with SIC58 ended in a season without a point scored, a unique fact among full-time riders in Moto3… The following year, despite remaining in the same team, his best results were two thirteenth places and five points in total for the season.
At the end of 2022, he was hit hard by the loss of his father and manager, Laurent, after a long illness. In 2023, under the colors of the CIP, his season started badly with an abandonment in the Portuguese Grand Prix due to shoulder problems, requiring surgery and sidelining him for almost half the season. On his return, he scored a tenth place in Australia, his best result to date and his only points of the year.
Its future then seemed set for 2024, until the announcement of the arrival of Red in December. From now on, fellon is faced with the challenge of Moto2, a category that could well hold surprises for him. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to flourish there.
