Álex Rins has been in MotoGP for three years. A most radiant 2019 season for the Suzuki official who, on two occasions, reached the highest step of the podium, winning the Austin and Silverstone races. The pilot, who will celebrate his 24th birthday on December 8, is therefore in good momentum in terms of 2020. He will undoubtedly be one of those, like fabio quartararo and of Maverick Vinales, who will have as one and only ambition, to compete for the world crown on the head of Marc Márquez for 4 years now.

For now, the time for the winter holidays has come and with them, the pleasure of being reunited with loved ones and continuing your physical preparation despite everything. We are still ready to learn the lessons of the past year by taking stock of the “good”, “not good” and “the next time we will do better”. For Alex Rins, it was a very positive year, with two victories and a podium in Jerez. With a view to 2020 coming up, the Spaniard has set the bar very high with its corollary of good resolutions.

«The victories we have achieved are the most positive thing for me this season. In addition to the podium we achieved in Jerez and all the experience accumulated during the season,” declared the teammate of Joan mir. “As for the negative things, it is the falls and the mistakes made. Paradoxically, these blunders also bring something positive, because in the end, we learn from them and what helps us learn and progress », insisted the Barcelonan.

Austin will remain a race, an unforgettable moment for the man who finished fourth in the world championship standings this season. He won his first victory in the Premier Category there. He fought fiercely against a formidable Valentino Rossi, one of the legends of MotoGP. “ It was incredible. I remember when I overtook Valentino, I had four laps to go and I pushed to the limit to not give him the slightest opportunity to pass me. In the last lap, I knew how to stay focused, I was a little nervous and it was like an explosion of emotions when I crossed the finish line and saw my team climbing the wall who runs along the finish line “, said the Suzuki rider.

When he talks about his second victory in Great Britain on the Silverstone track, he mentions the case “ Marc Marquez » who challenged him for victory until the end.
« Fighting with Márquez is always very difficult. I remember this race very well. I stayed behind him for several laps while I observed him. I carefully studied his strengths, his weaknesses, trying to see where was the best place to overtake him, and I finally beat him in the last corner by a few centimeters, a few thousandths of a second! It is also difficult to describe what I felt at that time. It was more than happiness, I would say “ecstasy” ", told Kidneys.

While the 2019 season has just ended with the Valencia and Jerez tests, the time for good resolutions for the approaching 2020 season is in good spirits.
« Suzuki has already worked on the new engine specifications for 2020 and we can already sense the difference. I noticed that it had a little more power. We are trying to improve traction and speed. Concerning myself, I have to be more consistent in the race and I have to fall less. I need to push my training even further, to be in very good physical condition. The word “consistency” must be used in every race., concluded Alex Rins.

The meeting is therefore set for the first race of the season, March 08, 2020 in Qatar.
