The 2022 MotoGP version is taking shape with its dates which say a lot about the hopes of a calendar worthy of the world before. We know that hostilities will begin on March 6 in Qatar, a date brought forward compared to this year which suggested an early off-season. Here is confirmation with deadlines that promise the return of major trips...

The provisional dates for pre-season testing ahead of the 2022 FIM MotoGP World Championship are announced, as well as the proposed provisional date for the first Grand Prix of the 2022 season. Thus, the MotoGP category will have two tests at the start of 2022, plus the shakedown test at the International Circuit of Sepang for factory test riders and rookies only. The second test will take place on the new international street circuit Mandalika in Indonesia.

In Indonesia there is certainly no doubt about the holding of its MotoGP Grand Prix...

Here is the plan :

Shakedown Test: January 31 – February 2

Sepang test: February 5 and 6

Mandalika Test: February 11 – 13

Setup takes place the two days before the tests MotoGP.

The categories Moto2 et Moto3 will have a test on the Jerez-Angel Nieto Circuit.

Jerez test: February 22 – 24

Set-up takes place the day before the Moto2 and Moto3 test.

Dorna can also announce the provisional date that will be proposed to the FIM for the first round of the 2022 FIM MotoGP World Championship. Qatar Grand Prix is provisionally fixed from 4 at 6 March, with the 2022 season set to once again begin under the spotlights of the Losail International Circuit. Let's hope that the health situation will not disrupt these great announcements, starting with that of an unprecedented first trip to Indonesia...
