While in Misano for the Superbike championship race weekend, Davide Brivio stopped at the journalists' microphones to answer a few questions. Rather serene and relaxed, he spoke about Suzuki's objectives for this 2019 season in view of Alex Rins' first results.

Alex Rins, third in the championship, does the job very well, placing himself just two points behind Andrea Dovizioso, and thirty-seven of Marc Marquez. In seven races, the Spaniard has placed in the top 5 six times, including a second place at the Jerez Grand Prix and a victory in America.

“We are very happy with how things are going, with this first part of the season which is rather good, because we are on the right track and above all in our objectives at the start of the season. Now, we must continue at this pace which is rather similar to the one we had in 2018. Our goal is to always be in the top five and manage to compete for the podium, maybe even victory when we have it. opportunity, as happened in Austin. alex rins is doing a wonderful job, he has learned a lot and continues to learn. He feels good on the bike, his riding style matches it perfectly; It's almost as if it feels in harmony with the Suzuki. From now on, we will continue to fight for the championship because we are third and we would like to keep this place on the podium, even if we know that behind us, it is a hard fight.”

Being rather accustomed to frequenting MotoGP paddocks, Davide Brivio spoke about the difference in atmosphere between this competition and that of Superbike:

“The Superbike championship has a bit more of a family atmosphere, maybe a bit more relaxed than in the MotoGP championship because there is a lot less pressure from the public and the media. Of course, it remains a very professional world with excellent engineers and unparalleled seriousness in the box. In itself, the difficulty is the same, they are two different championships with different machines but which require a lot of attention on the track.”
