After the first GPs of this 2020 season were postponed to a later date, it is now the turn of the Mugello and Barcelona events to suffer the same fate. For the moment, no replacement date has yet been officially announced for the Italian GP, initially scheduled for May 31, nor for the Catalan Grand Prix, which was to take place a week later on June 7.

The official announcement of this postponement has just been made as follows:

“The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports regret to announce that the Oakley Grand Prix of Italy – scheduled for May 29-31 at Mugello – will be postponed, as will the Monster Energy Grand Prix of Catalonia, which was due As for it, it will be held on the weekend of June 5, 6 and 7. The current coronavirus pandemic is forcing these events to be rescheduled. »

“As the situation remains in constant evolution, new dates will be allocated to them – like the Red Bull Spanish Grand Prix and Shark Helmets French Grand Prix which have already been postponed – as soon as it is possible to see it more clearly. An updated timetable will then be communicated. »
