At the end of the race, Piero Taramasso, Michelin Motorsport Two-Wheel Manager, said: “ I would first like to extend my condolences to the family, close friends and all members of the team of Jason Dupasquier, who passed away following a tragic accident during Moto3™ qualifying. »

« Regarding this Italian round of MotoGP, we are satisfied with the performance expressed by the Michelin tires throughout the weekend. The drivers were able to test all the options offered in our allocation for Mugello during the various test sessions, and their feedback was very positive. These performances are reflected in the results. The fact that the circuit record, the race lap record, the circuit speed record and the race duration record were all broken this weekend demonstrates that our tire allocation worked perfectly. I'm also happy to see that all teams were in the running this weekend – four manufacturers made the final top five – which highlights the versatility of our tires, in addition to the grip and consistency that our 2021 range offers. . »
