At Yamaha, we don't shy away from the pleasure of working with French people. The tuning fork firm was titled in the late 250 category with the tricolors of Tech3 and their compatriot Olivier Jacque. The same Tech3 troops have long been Iwata's armed wing in MotoGP. Johann Zarco has been making waves with an M1 over the last two seasons and it is now Fabio Quartararo's turn to assert himself as tomorrow's hope in Grand Prix riding a Yamaha. So, when a Frenchman is on the market and available, obviously, the Japanese manufacturer is more than interested in recruiting him…

We are talking here about a Johann zarco who would undoubtedly like to regain his sensations and the sense of movement by getting closer to an M1 again. An opportunity that can be negotiated now since KTM released its pilot while keeping him under contract until the end of the year. However, the Austrians assure that if the double Moto2 World Champion has an opportunity to relaunch in a solid project, they would not put a spoke in his wheels. By that, mean that they would not be retained until their commitments expire.

And this opportunity is called, among other things, Yamaha . At least this is the one that is openly debated since at Honda, we don't say a word because of a Jorge Lorenzo to the current contract. Lin Jarvis states thus on GPone : " we spoke to Johann to consider the possibility of becoming our test pilot. Frankly, this is a completely unexpected opportunity. Zarco is very fast, he raced in MotoGP until a few weeks ago and I think it is also interesting for him to ride for Yamaha »

« We'll see, it's not that simple, I think he could do some testing and racing. We will determine our program in the next two weeks. Johann is surely an option. If this doesn't pass, we'll probably continue with Folger. I know he wants to come back to Moto2, but it's not easy to find a ride and then win in this category. He has done a few races this year but the results have not been good.»

The rest, then, in two weeks…
