In the end, despite the low temperatures currently reigning in Aragon but thanks to the postponement of the morning session by one hour, Maverick Viñales, Franco Morbidelli, Fabio Quartararo, Cal Crutchlow, Pol Espargaró, Joan Mir, Álex Márquez, Takaaki Nakagami, Álex Rins and Aleix Espargaró finally pre-qualified for Q2.

The absence of wind was therefore not enough for the Ducati to avoid Q1, which could have been done brilliantly Jack Miller if his best time had not been canceled following the yellow flags displayed during the fall of Fabio Quartararo. The 6 machines from Borgo Panigale will therefore have to fight to try to appear on the first four lines of the starting grid. It remains to be seen whether the Italian firm's drivers will receive instructions to promote Andrea Dovizioso, the only one who can still play the title…

As the 21 MotoGP riders prepare to take the stage for this 4-minute FP30, including Fabio Quartararo, the sun is shining and the temperatures are now mild, with 19° in the air and 25° on the ground. As expected, the wind decreased to only 8 km/h, making the conditions perfect.

When the red lights go out... Joan mir is the quickest to set off on the track, unlike Fabio Quartararo .

The tire choices are quite divided:

Cal Crutchlow recorded the first benchmark in 1'50.248, then continued in 1'48.984. Behind the Briton, we find the three Yamahas and the three KTMs of Miguel Oliveira, Pol Espargaro and Iker Lecuona.

Joan mir then places his Suzuki in fourth position but the Yamahas resume the offensive, Franco Morbidelli in the lead in 1'48.793.

The Hondas have not said their last word and Takaaki Nakagami and Cal Crutchlow are in second and third positions after 10 minutes in the session.

Also note the sixth place ofAleix Espargaro who recognized that the Aragón route suited his Aprilia very well.

Midway through the session, fabio quartararo shows that he has regained his confidence by setting the best time, in 1'48.771.

At this moment, Johann zarco seems to be in difficulty, just like this morning, in 19th position.

Conversely, Brad Binder seems to be regaining color, placing its RC16 in provisional sixth place.

11 minutes from the checkered flag, Maverick Vinales takes the lead in 1'48.753, while the 3 Yamahas are still in the lead.

Five minutes later,Lex Rins, then 11th, produced his effort. The Suzuki rider moves up to seventh position and drags with him Alex Marquez who took the opportunity to move to sixth. As a result, the three Hondas appear in fourth, fifth and sixth places.

Franco Morbidelli increases the pace but it's good Alex Marquez which confirms its current progress by seizing command in 1'48.656, still in the wake ofAlex Rins !

Franco Morbidelli didn't let it count and set a 1'48.551 one minute before the flag was lowered.

Hervé Poncharal notes with interest that the first 12 are then held in less than 4/10…
