At the end of qualifying, Cal Crutchlow came to step into the lead of the Yamaha trident despite his ankle still being a handicap. But for Fabio Quartararo, poleman of this Aragón Grand Prix, the danger in the race will more likely come from Maverick Viñales or Joan Mir, the two men having had better race pace so far.

The Petronas pilot explained this during a exceptional press conference held last night, and is counting heavily on this 20-minute warm-up to increase the pace of his M1 in the second half of the race.

This session postponed by an hour to benefit from better track conditions will now take place under beautiful sunshine, with temperatures still cool at 13 degrees in the air and 16 degrees on the ground.

When the red lights go out... As very often, Franco Morbidelli rushes first.

Curiously, Cal Crutchlow tries a hard tire at the rear while all the other drivers are on soft tires, with the exception of Danilo Petrucci, Aleix Espargaró, Francesco Bagnaia, Andrea Dovizioso and Jack Miller who opted for the medium.

Danilo Petrucci is the fastest during the first two flying laps, recording 1'49.605 ahead Joan Mir and Miguel Oliveira.

In the following passage, the latest winner who yesterday aroused the irritation ofAndrea Dovizioso imposes a 1'49.438.

Franco Morbidelli improves this reference in 1'49.396 while Cal Crutchlow has already taken a soft rear tire, in a more logical way.

fabio quartararo seizes the lead in 1'49.375 before conceding it to Alex Marquez in 1'49.147 which itself retrocedes it to Maverick Vinales in 1'49.110.

All this is not yet very fast and Takaaki Nakagami took the opportunity to break the 1'49 mark in 1'48.849. The Honda driver continued his momentum by achieving 1'48.651 before relaxing his effort. We then have two RC213Vs in the lead, which bodes well for a very competitive race at 15 p.m.…

At the start of the last minute, the two Suzukis progressed, Joan mir positioning itself third, Alex Rins sixth.

In the last round, Maverick Vinales attempts an attack on the clock and obtains second position in the ranking, just ahead Alex Rins.

We observe each other before the race…
