It is a Q1 with the air of a qualifying final which presents itself in this Barcelona Grand Prix which seems to mark with the same seal which characterizes this MotoGP season. Or that of uncertainty. The strength of this exercise says a lot about the unstable precipitate that is the platoon this year. Judge for yourself: the two Pramac Ducati riders with Bagnaia so sparkling a week ago and Miller who is playing for the championship. The leader of the latter is also there, Andrea Dovizioso. The sequel isn't bad either....
We also note the presence of the two LCR Honda drivers with Nakagami, vying for the title, and Crutchlow. alex rins represents a factory Suzuki who deserves much better as his teammate shows Joan mir. At last, Alex Marquez is there, having forgotten to confirm during FP3 its improvement since the Misano 2 race.
That's it for the main protagonists. There are also other outsiders, including lecuona who can surprise all these beautiful people. Only two pilots will be able to continue their route. Before discovering their names, here is the table which summarizes the facts so far…

alex rins signs the first reference in 1'40.469. He is ahead Lecuona, Bagnaia et Alex Espargaro. The KTM rider and the Aprilia rider are the only ones in medium soft. All the others are in full software.
Crutchlow raise your voice in 1'40.124, ahead Dovizioso. But Miller goes below the 1'40 mark, in 1'39.705. Alex Espargaro points second and therefore provisionally qualified. We leave it there for the first salvo. The final assault on the clock is about to begin…

The last five minutes will be decisive. Especially for Alex Marquez, last by more than 3s! Miller slams a 1'39.399 which seems to give him the keys to the front door to Q2. Second place will therefore be worth a lot. It is Kidneys who takes it first. But Nakagami will take it under the checkered flag... Kidneys et bagnaia are disappointed, and Alex Espargaro ahead Crutchlow. As for Dovizioso, he will start… 17th!
