Article updated until the end of the session.

At the end of a Very lively FP3, Fabio Quartararo, Maverick Viñales, Miguel Oliveira, Danilo Petrucci, Johann Zarco, Pol Espargaró, Franco Morbidelli, Valentino Rossi, Brad Binder and Joan Mir pre-qualified for Q2 while Jack Miller and Takaaki Nakagami have just been drafted in Q1, the first with the absolute best time of the weekend!

John Zarco was right : In the absence of wind and thanks to the soft tires (which are in fact extra soft compared to last year), it went faster this morning!

But it will undoubtedly go even faster this afternoon and the clash for order on the first 4 starting lines of this Catalan Grand Prix will now be able to take place.

The sky is still generally clear and temperatures are 22° in the air and 36° as the riders prepare for this final 15-minute MotoGP qualifying session.

When the red lights go out... Franco Morbidelli honors tradition and rushes first to the front Johann Zarco and Pol I will espargaro.

Everyone is in soft/soft configuration except Brad Binder and Pol I will espargaro equipped in front medium.

As expected, it goes very quickly and Valentino Rossi achieves his first flying lap at 1'39.851 while fabio quartararo fails to brake at the entrance to the Stadium.

Maverick Vinales seizes command before conceding it to Franco Morbidelli in 1'39.110. During this time Miguel Oliveira minor fall at turn 10.

At mid-session, we therefore have three Yamahas in the lead while fabio quartararo returned to his box, but Jack Miller and Johann Zarco undermine Iwata's good order by seizing second and third positions.

The hierarchy is then composed of Franco Morbidelli, Jack Miller, Johann Zarco, Maverick Vinales, Pol I will espargaro, Valentino Rossi, Joan Mir, Brad Binder, Danilo Petrucci, Takaaki Nakagami, Miguel Oliveira and Fabio Quartararo.

Three minutes from the checkered flag, Fabio Quartararo produces his effort and climbs back into second position, 82 thousandths behind Franco Morbidelli.

At this moment, alone Franco Morbidelli, Fabio Quartararo and Valentino Red light the first three sectors in red: Who will be the fastest?

It is The Devil who wins in 1'39.008 Franco Morbidelli don't give up and attack one last fast lap... Before taking pole position with an interesting gap of 2 tenths and only one tenth of the circuit record!

Johann zarco will start from the 2nd line.
