As expected, and despite higher temperatures, FP2 came to upset the provisional ranking that presented to us the first free practice session of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.

This morning, these are Brad Binder, Takaaki Nakagami, Fabio Quartararo, Maverick Viñales, Pol Espargaró, Franco Morbidelli, Joan Mir, Miguel Oliveira, Danilo Petrucci and Johann Zarco who are pre-qualified for Q2, at least if the track conditions do not allow an improvement in times.

Because all these drivers are held within just 0,4 seconds (and even the first five within less than a tenth!), few of them are in fact truly safe from being kicked out of the top 10 if, like This seems to be the logic, lower temperatures in FP3 should allow an improvement in lap times.

The Moto2 and Moto3 beat their circuit record yesterday and again this morning: Is it the turn of the MotoGP, who will have to surpass the 1'31.411 achieved by Maverick Vinales last week ?

The sun is now very present, 24° in the air, 22° on the ground, no more wind, 20 pilots (in the absence of Cal Crutchlow et Stefan bradl) and 45 minutes, here are the ingredients of this third decisive free practice session of the premier category on the shores of the Adriatic:

Andrea Dovizioso look for a job…

When the red lights go out... Alex Rins rushes first in front Valentino Rossi. As is now the custom, fabio quartararo lets everyone go before getting on his motorbike.

Hard, medium or soft, all tastes are in nature…

The session begins with the minor fall of Jack Miller at turn number 6.

Aleix I will espargaro is the first to go below the 1'33 mark, in 1'32.832 during his second flying lap.

Miguel Oliveira was also surprised at turn 8 and went to the ground without gravity.

Meanwhile, Pol I will espargaro leads the session in 1'32.206.

From his fourth round launched, Pecco Bagnaia exceeds 300 km/h and scores 1'32.049 at the top of the ranking. As a reminder, direct access to Q2 will take place below the 1'32 mark...

At the end of the first run, Pol I will espargaro precedes by 2 thousandths Francesco Bagnaia, Franco Morbidelli, Álex Rins, Takaaki Nakagami, Andrea Dovizioso, Aleix Espargaró, Brad Binder, Fabio Quartararo, Johann Zarco, Valentino Rossi and Joan Mir.

Heart rate at 140 for The Devil...

Maverick Vinales still occupies last place… but all it takes is talking about it for it to jump to 7th position.

Despite a fairly fresh track, Fabio Quartararo tries a hard tire at the rear and moves up to fourth place in the session. In the next passage, he is at the limit...

18 minutes from the checkered flag, Pol I will espargaro, with a soft tire at the rear, was the first to go below the 1'32 mark, in 1'31.962, while the other drivers returned to their box to prepare for the final race.

Iker Lecuona is the first to emerge and places his RC16 in 4th then 3rd position.

12 minutes from the end of the session, Takaaki Nakagami, Joan Mir and Andrea Dovizioso settled in the first three places in the ranking, the Japanese driver achieving 1'31.753.

Johann zarco then hoists his Ducati to third place while Joan mir takes command in 1'31.722.

10 minutes from lowering the flag, Francesco Bagnaia simply smashes the track record in 1'31.127!

Three minutes later, almost everyone entered the pits to fit a new rear tire... War is declared!

Pol I will espargaro minor fall at turn 6 then Valentino Rossi achieves the third time and positions himself behind Franco Morbidelli.

Miguel Oliveira makes a mistake at high speed in turn 15, while Pecco Bagnaia does the same at turn 6.

Maverick Vinales then takes second position, then, at the last minute, fabio quartararo places its M1 in place of that of the Catalan.

On the other hand, Johann zarco will have to go through Q1.
