Certainly he commented after a Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin this: “ it's very difficult for me to stay behind the other drivers. The pressure and temperature in the front tire increase significantly. This makes the motorcycle very difficult to ride. You risk falling on almost every turn. Even when braking, it's not easy ».

And then there are its 184 cm under the height chart which force it to seek ergonomics on the Ducati : " I've already done a lot on the bike. Now I have a comfortable sitting position. I can use my legs, tank and arms. I am now happy with my sitting position. But all that is ultimately not the main thing. Luca Marini confesses: “ my physical condition means that I don't have enough strength to drive the entire race at the limit and attack as in qualifying ". He even confesses: “ that was the problem all year. The potential of the motorcycle is betterr. In Austin, I could have gone half a second faster per lap. Physically, it's not possible for me. I made mistakes with my physical trainer this season because I don't drive 100% for the 40 minutes it takes ».

Luca Marini: “we must find a solution"

In winter, Luca marini will have to train differently to have more strength: “ it is clear that Enea makes the difference in this area. He can attack at 100% every turn. His pace is good and constant. In my opinion it is quite strong. So I have to work on it. I need to practice a new workout so that it changes next year ».

Marini wants to use the two free weekends between the Austin and Misano 2 races to analyze his training program. It’s about putting a different program in place for the winter so that they are better prepared for the following year. “ I need to talk to my training and other pilots of the academy.
