You're not interested enough in social media to follow several hundred drivers and teams, but you don't like to miss any of the little stories that animate MotoGP and the other categories? This daily column is made for you, early in the morning, to start the day off right while waiting for more substantial articles. Today, discover how Zarco and Cecchinello were overwhelmed by congratulations from around the world after the French GP.
The 2025 French Grand Prix will go down in the history books for the LCR team. Two years after Alex Rins' victory in Texas, the team led by Lucio Cecchinello returned to the top step of the podium thanks to Johann Zarco, who delivered an exceptional performance on home soil. On a wet track at Le Mans, the French driver capitalized on an excellent strategy, winning in tricky conditions and in front of a French crowd.
The emotion was palpable in the LCR pit, where every team member savored this rare moment. After the race, team owner Lucio Cecchinello shared his joy in front of the cameras, holding up his cell phone to show the countless congratulatory messages received from around the world (there were more than 300!). Johann Zarco reacted to this gesture the following day, assuring him that the latter had more success than he, who hadn't received half as many.
“WHAT A SUNDAY!!! ❤️😍❤️ To all those waiting for my reply… Please give me a few days… 🤪😝😜” declared Cecchinello on his Instagram account a few days after the race.
