Le MotoGP is, in a Grand Prix, the highlight of a spectacle also fueled by the Moto3 and Moto2. Recently, and during part of the season, the MotoE was added, with a single machine for a platoon that trained in electric propulsion.
The machines are heavy, the marshals must be careful before lifting them from a fall while the recharge period behind the scenes is not either safe. It is on this aspect that insists Maverick Vinales : " the races are good because they are very short. This means that we get down to business straight away. », comments the factory driver Yamaha . But he immediately adds: “ At the moment I don't see myself there. I see myself riding in MotoGP for a long time ».
MotoE is good, but for others
Le MotoE has a female driver on its grid in the person of Maria Herrera and it did not escape Jack Miller, which follows the category born in 2019 through its compatriot Josh Hook, says “Hooky”: “ I always tease "Hooky" when he gets beaten by Maria ", smiles Miller, adding seriously: “ the races are great. I really like short races anyway. However, I hope to be able to do a little more MotoGP and have a few years ahead of me ».
fabio quartararo also made aware of his feelings about these tests with electric machines: “ fighting for the victory and for the podium until the last corner is really fun. But it's not for me at the moment. I just entered the MotoGP category. These are the most fun motorcycles in the world ».
When asked if he could imagine racing as a driver MotoE in the future, Quarterly replied on Motorsport-total : " maybe in the future. But for now, I'm having a lot of fun hearing my motorcycle's engine. This is why I don't see myself doing MotoE in the near future ».
