Little by little, session after session, race after race, the acid yellow of the VR46 returns to the forefront! Of course, this is just the iconic color of Valentino RossiMore Luca marini et Marco Bezzecchi put it more and more often in the spotlight, as was the case again this Sunday during FP3 and qualifying for the Malaysian Grand Prix on the Sepang circuit.

Marco Bezzecchi et Luca marini therefore confirm the excellent sensations of the first day in Malaysia and will start tomorrow's race (at 09:00 a.m. French time), on the Ducati Desmosedici GP22s of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team, both from the second row, respectively from the fourth and sixth place on the grid.

At ease from the first free practices, in P2 at the end of FP3 (1'58.772) and first in FP4 (1'59.925) thanks to an excellent pace, the Rookie of the Year Marco Bezzecchi signs a best time of 1'58.490 in the second part of Q2, a time which means a gap of only seven tenths of a second with pole position (Jorge Martin, 1'57.790).

In his wake, ready to fight, Luca marini confirms himself as one of the most consistent drivers of this second part of the season and concludes with a fast lap in 1'58.579 after P4 in the combined classification at the end of free practice (1'58.806) and 17th place in the FP4 (2'00.781).

For the moment, 18 points separate the two teammates, to the advantage of whose brother you know...

Marco Bezzecchi : " A good day. I am happy with the result of the attack on the clock, but even happier with the pace maintained during FP4. Yesterday we didn't try a real time lap, so the step forward we took today was important. I'm happy, the sensations are good, I'm fast and I ride the way I want. Tomorrow will be a difficult race to manage, let's hope for the weather, because at the moment the forecast looks a little nasty. »

Luca marini : " A good qualification and a good lap. We confirm the significant growth of the last period, we are still in the Top6, in all conditions, not just today in this heat. On the first try, I set my best lap, but I made a mistake in T4. Then I didn't have good grip and I wasn't perfect in T1. In any case, the gap with the first row is small and we can do well tomorrow. I don't have a good rhythm, and I struggled in FP3 and FP4. I'm fast, but in the driving business I can improve a lot. »

Paul Grandson : " I am very happy and satisfied with the work of the whole team. Starting from the second row with both drivers is an excellent result. Tomorrow will be a race far from easy: Between the battles, the tires and the temperatures, there will be many aspects to manage in the best possible way. Let's stay focused and try to be among the protagonists of the GP, Marco and Luca have shown that they have excellent potential. »
