After enjoying his third step on the podium at Phillip Island by rinsing his glottis to the delight of the spectators, Jack Miller would like to finish in the top 3 again in Malaysia, as he did in 2014 on the second step in Moto3, behind Efren Vasquez and ahead of Álex Rins, the year he finished second in the World Championship on his KTM Red Bull Ajo.
This was his only podium in Malaysia, despite a sixth place in 2013 (on an FTR Honda from the Caretta Technology – RTG team), and three eighth places in MotoGP in 2016 and 2017 (on Honda Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) , and in 2018 (on Ducati Alma Pramac Racing).
On the occasion of his trip to Malaysia, Jack is still on cloud nine after his superb podium at Phillip Island, when he climbed onto the third step of the podium after a fierce battle which saw him finish 0.055 ahead of his teammate Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia and 0.318 ahead Joan mir. “ Third place at my home race in Australia, standing on the podium, celebrating with the crowd... it's a day I will remember for a long, long time.", commented Miller. “ We celebrated a lot of things before Sepang.”

“Several members of my family are coming to Malaysia this week, it’s quite a hectic time at the moment. But it was previously a great week at home, and for the fans who came to the track and braved the weather cheering us on, asking me to sign something or take a selfie…”

“Monday and Tuesday, I no longer had a voice,” said said Jack Miller of the celebrations in Australia after his third place. “It has been going reasonably well since Wednesday, however it is not yet perfect. But I'm in Malaysia and alive, it's positive. I've never experienced anything like a podium in Australia, it was crazy – an incredible day. »
“We had good pace during testing here at Sepang. But during these tests the conditions are better, so it’s always different on the race weekend.”
“The most important factors are heat and tires. It seems that the soft tire is the best option, we have to prepare for it. It rains almost every day around 15 p.m., two of the last three races here have been on a wet track. We must prepare for everything. »
