With its second place in Australia, Marc Márquez obtained his 100th podium in MotoGP, the premier category of Grands Prix, equaling the legendary Ángel Nieto.

The Repsol Honda Team rider continues to break records, and at Phillip Island he became one of the few riders to reach the milestone of 100 podiums.

Since his arrival in MotoGP nine seasons ago, the Repsol Honda Team rider has achieved 59 victories, 31 second places and 10 third places. 2014, his second year in MotoGP, was the campaign in which he achieved the most victories, 13 out of a possible 18.

The Sachsenring, in Germany, is the circuit where the eight-time world champion has won most often, with a perfect record of 8 out of 8 in the premier category.

His percentage of podiums is 70% of the races he has competed in, with 100 out of 143. He is tied with the legendary Angel Nieto and is only preceded by Valentino Rossi (199) Jorge Lorenzo (114) et Dani Pedrosa (112) for the podiums.
