You're not interested enough in social media to follow several hundred drivers, but you don't like to miss any of the little stories that animate MotoGP (Moto2 and Moto3), the World SBK and the other categories? This daily column is made for you, to start the day off right while waiting for more substantial but sometimes less unusual articles! Today, discover Marc Marquez's prank on his engineers.
Marc Marquez certainly showed off his sense of humor in the latest episode of the "INSIDE Ducati" series, which aired after his demonstration at the Aragon Grand Prix. Following Inter Milan's loss to PSG in the Champions League final, the Spaniard took the opportunity to tease the brand's Italian engineers.
In the vlog, Marc Marquez shared a "heatmap," a concept well-known to football fans. An image that demonstrates the concentration of the game on the pitch during a match. The graphic Marc Marquez provided, concerning the PSG – Inter match, was, however, misused. With the Italian team having lost 5-0, the number 93 unfolded the illustration of a 'heatmap' representing a sexual act to illustrate the crushing defeat of the Milanese club (illustration available here).
“Before I begin, I wanted to tell you that I did my own analysis of the last race at home, explains Marc Marquez, smiling, in the meeting at the start of the weekend. I did a front tire overheating study. I don't know if it's accurate or not, but I got these results."
After unfolding the paper he was holding in his hands, he continued in a more mocking tone: "Is it fair or not? At Silverstone we struggled, I was at home on Saturday thinking about the corner I crashed in, and I got this result."
