Bezzecchi

History has a sense of irony that only MotoGP can offer. Two years ago, Marco Bezzecchi jumped on the microphones in Valencia to call Marc Marquez "the dirtiest rider in the paddock," accusing the stewards of turning a blind eye to his maneuvers. Today, it's he who sent the world champion to the ground, injured his shoulder, forced to miss two Grands Prix... and it's he who should come and apologize.

Flashback: Valencia 2023. Third turn. Marquez touch Bezzecchi, which ends up in the gravel. The Italian explodes: " Marquez decided to end my race... The stewards never punish him. He is the dirtiest rider in MotoGP »

Not content with publicly attacking, Bezzecchi disembarks at the truck of Marquez, confronts him and tries to obtain a sanction. Without success. Marquez, he remains cold, almost paternal:

« I won't waste time with Bezzecchi... He will regret his words when he is more mature. »

Indonesia 2025…Same scene, but reversed. Bezzecchi hits Marquez from the first bends. This time, no long tirades against the marshals, just repeated apologies, in the gravel trap then in the pit box. Ducati thanks the pilot Aprilia for his fair play. Massimo rivola also bows.

Karma strikes Bezzecchi: two years after Valencia, the roles are reversed in a cruel twist of fate

Et Marquez Still injured, shoulder immobilized, season put on hold... but without public resentment. On the contrary, he calls on his fans to remain calm: "Please don't hold a grudge against @marcobez72. No one does that on purpose. »

This scene is worth all the flying lessons: the "bad boy" that Bezzecchi denounced turns out to be classier than ever. Where he had become inflamed, Marquez chooses height. No media revenge, no humiliation. Just the serenity of a seven-time world champion MotoGP who has won everything and no longer needs to prove his worth.

At Ducati, we protect the injured champion but we know that this incident is a stain, especially with a Aprilia which is trying to establish itself as a serious rival. At Aprilia, Rivola apologizes, knowing that this unfortunate gesture comes at the worst possible time.

In 2023, Bezzecchi treated Marquez of a dirty, untouchable driver. Two years later, he is the one who ruins the race—and the health—of the champion, forced to swallow his pride and apologize. Meanwhile, Marquez responds with icy elegance. The real slap isn't on the dance floor: it's moral.
