Marc Marquez is currently preparing for a 2020 MotoGP season which will start on July 19 in Jerez. A campaign undoubtedly special, but what matters for this born fighter: the objective will always be the same, to win and collect a new title, which would put him on a par with Valentino Rossi... The turmoil in his Repsol Honda box coming from the racing market pilots also have his attention. That being said, the fearless Marc Marquez has his limits. So when he talks about this unique competition that is the Isle of Man TT…

Le Isle of Man TT is both an institution and an incongruity in our smooth era standardized by the precautionary principle. The ordeal reminds us that we can die from our passion. Which is unacceptable today. An open debate even between riders, from all walks of life, and even more so among the most prominent in MotoGP.

Driving in fierce competition on machines of more than 250 hp traveling at more than 350 km/h is not given to ordinary mortals. But these modern-day knights are not ready to joust in all tournaments. Marc Marquez, the one who manages to escape from desperate situations, speaks of the Tourist Trophy, the setting of which is none other than a road closed to traffic:

« I have a lot of respect for the drivers who race in this event, but I don't like it " he said. “ I drive in a sense to have fun, to take pleasure, to seek the limit. But going to the Isle of Man means gambling with your life. I ride a motorcycle to have fun, not to suffer and put my life in danger ».

We will remember that in 2009, Valentino Rossi took a lap of honor in the company of Giacomo Agostini on this journey full of dangers. More recently Danny Webb, who has a background in 125 and Moto3, tested himself on the TT which had already attracted criticism from Carlos Checa.
