The atmosphere in MotoGP is marked by different factors, but the tempo is often given by a particular relationship that exists between Marc Márquez et Valentino Rossi. What one thinks of the other at a given moment is felt throughout the paddock, even in the stands. So, the more whistles you have, the worse the relationship between the two champions will be. A thermometer appeared at the end of a stormy Sepang Grand Prix in 2015. Then there was last year's Argentine Grand Prix. And now, where are we? Marc Márquez sets a trend…

A trend which is heading towards a period of appeasement. We saw it in Argentina, the two men shook hands at the finish. After four races and before embarking on a fifth round which will take place in France, both the Honda official and the Yamaha factory rider are mathematically in the running for the title.

Last weekend, invited to a special ceremony which led him to roar his Honda without a football stadium in Germany, Marc Márquez thus took stock of the situation on the subject: “ the relationship with Valentino is good. But there is another opponent in the competition. It's normal. It's the same with all drivers: if he is your direct opponent in the championship, he will not be your best friend ».

That being said, he adds with deference: “ I learned so much from Valentino, I'm still learning from him. What he does is incredible ". See you at Le Mans this weekend.
