Marc Márquez and motocross is a love story born from a very young age. It was only at the age of 9 that he started riding on tarmac and because a team had spotted him and signed him up to race with all expenses paid, he chose this route. Otherwise, it was off to MXGP, AMA Supercross and Motocross in general. To stay in shape, he continues to jump bumps with Jose Luis Martinez, Spanish MX2 champion. Downright !

Marc Márquez has a passion: motocross. He explains : " what I like is that the terrain is never the same on the track. One day it can be perfect with nice bumps, then the next day it can be worse. You always have to adapt, improvise. All this helps you when you then have to ride a MotoGP. I've been doing it since I was a child and the driver makes the difference. Of course, there are the suspensions too, but the driver is the major parte ”.

And the danger of getting injured? Marc Márquez dismisses the argument: “ the benefits you get from it are greater. I have been training with Jose Luis Martinez since 2013. It is important to train with someone who has a high level because he pushes you to your limits ».

Without concessions with himself, he is also with his younger brother Alex: “ I started earlier than him and never stopped. There's not that much flying and I think that what you assimilate from childhood, you keep it throughout your life. But he has progressed a lot, particularly in terms of strength in his arms and in his driving position. If I don't watch him, he might get to my level ».

The love of motocross Marc Márquez also materializes each year during the winter break with the “Allianz Motor Camp” event which brings together young drivers who can then ride with the six-time Grand Prix winner.
