Marquez MotoGP

Marc Marquez, the 2025 MotoGP champion, is going to have a particularly difficult end to the year. While he appears to be heavily injured in the right shoulderThe Spaniard will miss the next two GPs – at least – following his huge crash in the opening moments of the Indonesian Grand Prix. Naturally, since then, comments about him have been flying. Ruben Xaus, a former MotoGP rider, has provided an original analysis on the subject. For him, Marquez slacked off after winning his world title! Is this a theory that holds water?

Ruben Xaus, a driver from the 2000s, spoke at length about the Indonesian GP in the Duralavita podcast, as reported by Motosan. And of course, he couldn't miss the subject of Marquez. « Fortunately, Marc has a bad turn of events even though he was already a title winner.. As time goes on, the falls become more and more difficult. And emotionally too." he declared.

Is Marquez too comfortable in MotoGP?

According to him, Marquez was able to release the pressure after winning his ninth career title, which could have led to these terrible crashes. « We see a very evolved Marc, emotionally and mentallyIt has been proven that letting your guard down is a mistake. Riders like Alex Márquez or Marc himself have made mistakes by approaching things with more serenity. The fact that he let his guard down, because he deserved it... had consequences" he added. He is probably referring more to his disappointing weekend in terms of performances than to his Sunday crash, which was exclusively linked to Marco Bezzecchi's over-commitment.

According to him, the unpredictability of this track contributed to the chaos noticed during the races. « There was no grip. When they pushed a little with this support, the bike collapsed, because everyone lost the front in a rather ridiculous way. They were probably saying to themselves: If we go through the same place every time, same braking, same turn, same thing, we can still lose it.. When a driver sets out on a weekend like this, everything gets a little complicated » he concluded.
