Marc Marquez is untouchable in 2025. The Spaniard has won the last 14 races and has turned two-time MotoGP world champion Francesco Bagnaia into a mere extra. Yet the Ducati rider remains clear-eyed: this dominance won't last forever.
Since his MotoGP debut in 2013, Marquez always got the better of his box partners: Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo, Pol Espargaró, Joan Mir… and even his brother Alex during their time at Honda then at Gresini Ducati.
Today installed alongside bagnaia in the official team Ducati, Marc continues to crush the competition. Pecco has only won once this season – thanks to the fall of Marc in Austin – and hasn't seen the podium for three races.
Result: Marquez caracole at the head of the championnat with 175 points ahead and leaves bagnaia adrift, 227 points behind, neck and neck... with Alex Marquez.
Asked about this one-sided rivalry, Marc delivered a response as sincere as it was unexpected:
« I can't honestly answer what it feels like on the other side of the box, because from the beginning until today, I've always beaten my teammates. So I don't know the experience »
Then he added, almost fatalistically: “ I will feel this experience, for sure – in the future, I will feel this experience because it is a natural process. Someone will come along and beat me with the same motorcycle. »

Marc Marquez: “ Pecco Bagnaia is intelligent enough and has enough experience to absorb all these things. »
And to remember on crash.net : " When I arrived in MotoGP, I made some mistakes on some Sundays, because Pedrosa was in front and I was trying to catch himYour teammate is always an additional pressure, but at the same time, an additional motivation. »
A trajectory reminiscent of that of Valentino Rossi : invincible against his teammates between 2000 and 2012, before Jorge Lorenzo does not overturn the hierarchy.
Despite the huge gap, Marc refuses to bury his teammate: " I think that Pecco is smart enough and has enough experience to absorb all of these things. He's already a two-time world champion, so I don't think that's his main problem. »
Then he pointed out the current limits of bagnaia :
« In MotoGP, when you don't trust, you lose 0,030 to 0,040 seconds at each braking point. And ultimately, that's two tenths per lap. So he's in a moment to regain his confidence. But as we saw in Austria, he was the fastest on Friday. Pecco is Pecco and he will arrive sooner or later »
bagnaia still regrets the handling of the GP24 and repeats that it is impossible to return to it. But Marc wanted to correct: " as factory drivers, if we want the GP24, from what I understood from my technicians, we can have it »
A small tackle that says a lot about the difference in approach between the two champions: where Pecco locks himself in his regrets, Marc reminds us that solutions exist, we just have to go and find them.
